Darren Biggs has worked in the oil industry since 1996.  After graduating from Leicester University in Geology he joined Petroleum Exploration Computer Consultants as part of a small team running the workstation services group.  Having successfully grown PECC’s service line he left to start a new small service company with Rupert Butler in 1998. 

Geodata Management UK Ltd (GDM) was established as a small company designed to provide class leading seismic and well off-site data mgt services.  Integral in growing GDM to a turnover of over $1.25 million per annum he helped develop a suite of services that included off-site and on-site data management, project / application hosting, systems rental and managed data-room services

His career has focused mainly on IT and Data Management within the E&P arena, possessing a vast wealth of familiarity across different companies and roles. Amongst others he has worked on major consultancy projects for EnCana UK / Amerada Hess and Reliance Industries (Mumbai, India).

His experience ranges from purely hands on technical work to commercial design of SLAs and authoring of RFPs on data mgt, apps support, corporate data stores and EDMS solutions.

At the start of 2006 he joined Eurotech Computer Services as Geoscience Services Manager and formed the alliance that established Eurotech as Ronin’s UK partner.
